A delegation from the Ajman Business Women Council (AJBWC) of the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) visited the headquarters of the Abu Dhabi Business Women Council (ADBWC), with a view to strengthening bilateral relations, increasing joint cooperation opportunities, exchanging experiences and best practices, enhancing the role of business women who are members of the two councils, and enabling them to advance their ideas and projects.
The delegation was received by H.E. Asma Abdullah Al Fahim, Chairwoman of ADBWC, members of the Board of Directors, and Fatima Hilal Al Blooshi, Director of the ADBWC.
The AJBWC delegation was headed by Eng. Aisha Khalfan bin Badr, Vice Chairwoman of the AJBWC, and included members of the Board of Directors, and Abeer Eid Al Faraj, Director of the AJBWC's Office. On behalf of Dr. Amna Khalifa Al Ali, Chairwoman of the AJBWC, Eng. Aisha Khalfan congratulated the ADBWC on the occasion of its formation. She also praised the effective relations between the Ajman and Abu Dhabi Business Women Councils and the diversity of cooperation opportunities available, especially in light of the momentum of pioneering major initiatives, exhibitions, and events organized by both sides.
The meeting witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the ADBWC and the AJBWC, where the MoU was signed in by H.E. Asma Al Fahim, Chairwoman of the ADBWC, and Eng. Aisha Khalfan bin Badr, Vice Chairwoman of the AJBWC.
The MoU aimed to unify efforts supporting the empowerment of women, enhancing their role in sustainable development, supporting their participation in the economic and social development process, and cooperating in launching joint proactive initiatives and activities to enhance women's positive and active contribution to society in a way that supports the objectives of the two councils and is in line with the plans and directions of the UAE.
